“C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\eM Client” ??
Sonst komplettes Backup machen vom Windows, per Image Backup Software.
Image Datei mehrmals sichern extern !

No, only if the hard disk would be defective.
Have you already done a CheckDisk?
chkdsk c: /f “Command Prompt”
Or “Check” your hard drive with this tool “h2testw”
Here:
And have you already checked all files in the folder in:
“C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\eM Client” ??
See if any file is abnormally large or doesn’t belong there
and post the size of the files here.
Otherwise please just post the whole folder with subdirectories,
with names and sizes of the files as a list.
Or try another hard drive or USB stick as a backup folder.
This does not necessarily have to be due to the “eM Client”.
Otherwise make a complete backup of Windows, using image backup software.
Delete Partition.
Reinstall Windows and install the “eM Client”.
Import settings via XML file and then test whether that brings anything.
Then read back the image backup again.
A funny variant would be:
Change the folder where you have the backups of “eM Client” made.
(Settings ; General ; “Backup”)
Then exit and restart the e-mail program.
Cancel the “Wizard” and exit the program again.
Then delete the Contents of the folder where you have the “eM Client” backups made.
But first back up the folder where, such as external HD, USB stick, etc.
Start “eM Client” again and set the folder for the backup as it was at the beginning.
Test again now!
Read back the saved backups if necessary.
Look how big the folder “eM Client” is:
“C:\Users\XXXXXXXX\AppData\Local\eM Client” is.
