Database disk image is malformed, 3 years of work emails in offline folders and no backup, now what???

Thanks for the reply - this is very good stuff to hear - and honestly, I think this will come down to how quickly problems are addressed more than which app has more features or how quickly the new-spiffy-glitzy updates are turned out.  Stability and fixing existing problems means more to us than everything else.

Thanks again
(PS: I was trying to send this as a private message since it’s not really of public value, but this forum doesn’t appear to have that! LOL)

Steve,
You saved my bacon, thanks!
Had the exact same problem.

I was getting the Database disk image malformed error while trying to move messages from inbox to a local folder.  I narrowed the issue down to a single email message and decided to delete it in the source web email site.  As soon as I did, eM Client crashed and I could not open it.

Using your directions and some playing around I  was able to recover all my local folder data and re-establish eM Client as a working email client.
