How does one install this theme?

First you need to download the theme from the link i provided or any other theme you found and you like to apply.

After, from the EM Mail Client application, follow this path from the menus top left corner:

Menu>Tools>Settings>Appearance> Themes

At this point, import the .theme file you have downloaded and then press the Apply button.

…and you are done, applying your new EM theme.

Thank you!!! Worked perfectly and NICE JOB with the theme!!!

I was using it myself yesterday. Not a fan of dark themes, but it is really nice.

Suggestion if the technology will allow:

Apply the color to folder list
Apply the color to the rules list

Where in the theme do you edit the red? I’d like to make it just a tad more calm. Thanks for making this theme. I think it will solve some issues I have with not being able to see where the selection is.

Hi @Gary

If you are not a fan of Dark Themes have a look at here:

You can download the Theme package.

Man, I am a fan of Dark Theme. I just want to tweak that red highlight a bit in the modification that was posted above.

Hi @qatdaddy

You will need to edit the string in the XML code that relates to the color of the element you want to modify, the color will be written as a HEX code.
Where for instance (red #ff0000) (green #00ff00) (blue #0000ff) are the base codes.
You can use multiple variations of these codes that you can change to create your look to suit.
You can experiment with color codes to achieve the color you want with an interactive color checker that I wrote here: https://www.compucall.com/html/color_preference.htm

I understand that completely. I am not asking how to do it. I am hoping someone can tell me what the color used in the theme actually is, so I can find it and replace it. I get the procedure. Knowing the base code does not tell me what code/color the highlight actually is.

Hi @qatdaddy

If you want to change the color of a particular element you need to identify the XML code that determines this - I suggest that you message @CGK to ask which line of code refers.
This Theme is for eMC v7.2 and does not display as the screenshot in eMC v8 so I am sorry I can’t help you further with this.

Great idea! Why didn’t I think of that? Hsha

@CGK could you tell me which lines are the red accents for unreads, etc., and which for the currently “hovered” email? Or tell me the hex color to look for to replace it. I’d like to tone the red down just a tad. Thanks much!
