reading my mails, I frequently delete some of them by pressing DEL key (for moving them to Trash folder).
If I accidently deleted a mail, I press CTRL+Z for undo … but as a result not the last deleted mail is recovered, but the 2nd last deleted mail (the one I deleted before).
Since I am sure that this is not the intended behaviour: can anyone reproduce the issue? I am using eM Client for Windows 10.1.4600 (b917433).
I did some search in the forum, but this issue is not the same as others (e.g. many messages restored, or two mails deletet …).
Hi, thanks for your answer.
At the moment, the error occurs from time to time - I cannot recognize a rule. Maybe it is related to the mail server (here: mailcow).
I think I’ll keep an eye on it for now …
Ok sry yes you did say you were using 10.1.4600 for Windows. You appear to have a slightly later version than is on the release history page as it goes from 10.1.4588 to V10.2.1712 (Beta ver).
Maybe it is related to the mail server (here: mailcow).
Yes could be a server mailbox related.
Suggest to try the undo “via the menu” and see if that does the same thing. If that then works ok, it"might be the keyboard". Just a thought to try.
Now if the undo via the menu does the same thing, I can only suggest to then maybe try the latest Windows Beta V10.2.1712 via the release history page and see if that makes any difference.
If you do try the Beta, backup your current version first via “Menu / Backup” incase you need to restore for any reason. You can see when the backup is complete in Show Operations via clicking the drop-down on the right of Refresh. Also close eM Client before updating.
Also I presume you do still have the 10.1.4600 install file in your download folder if you do have to restore your current version via “Menu / File / Restore” being it’s not available online.
Okay, sorry guys, I think I’ve got something mixed up.
My workflow is: scrolling though my mailbox every few hours and
deleting some mails
moving some mails to another folder by “quick actions” hotkey (German: “Schnelle Aktionen”).
The quick actions seem not to be considered when pressing CTRL+Z.
So if I
delete one mail,
move another mail to folder “newsletter” (say: by accident)
press CTRL+Z
… the deleted mail (step 1) is recovered.
My expectation was: the moved mail from folder “newsletter” (step 2) would be moved to Inbox again.
If this behaviour is intended, I maybe should file a feature request …
