Crash every time em Client displays a file list

Hi, 

Thanks for a great mail client, which has worked well for some years.
However it now crashes each time a windows file list is displayed, for example when you choose insert file, (or when you click the ellipsis alongside the database location in settings).

2 events are created, the first is from .NET Runtime and the second from MailClient.exe as below

Hi Alastair, if the application crashes, is there an crash report window displayed? If so, can you please click on the “Show error” button, copy the content of the crash log and submit it to us here on the forum for more information about the issue?

Unfortunately emClient just dies and windows shows the application failed error… and I cant find anything in the appdata logs directory

I am having the exact same error when trying to attach, save attachments, insert, etc.  ~mike

Please try to update your .NET framework to the latest release (4.5.2) and update your eM Client to this release, http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.22065/setup.msi and please check if the issue persists.
