Yet another case of the “corrupt database” message. I see there are a few posts of this type of problem already. I have backed up the Emclient folder from my AppData folder in my profile. I then deleted the corrupt EmClient folder, uninstalled Em and reinstalled. Em now opens but how do I get my emails back? I was regularly doing a backup from the the tool menu which created zip files. Can i get my mails back from these zip files? Failing that, my mails are still safe on hotmail.com but that is web based. Can I get EmClinet to re-download my mails from the hotmail site? Thanks.
Hi Xave, if you’re using a hotmail account and the messages are still on the server, setting up the account in eM Client should do the trick and eM Client should automatically synchronize your items with the server.
If you have a backup of your data you should be able to restore your data using the restore feature in eM Client under File > Restore, these backup files should contain all data that have been saved in the database before you backed up the database.
