Continuing shutdown problem

It seems that this is a continuing problem over the last 3 years.

I am using em_Client 7.0.27943.0 and the up to date Windows 10.  Em-Client does not shutdown properly and always has to check its database on startup.  Is there a fix for this problem?

Came here today concerning this same issue. It seems anytime I shutdown or restart my system, Windows pops up the message saying that EM Client is still shutting down. I never force it close. But then when Windows comes back up and I start EM Client, it does the database check.
