Contacts Execution of request failed Error Message

I have a client that is using eM client as a trial. Today, there was an error message seeming to indicate that there was an error synchronizing the contacts folder. I noticed this in the log:
4:20:21 PM MailExceptions.OperationException: Uploading item(s) to folder ‘[email protected]/Contacts/’ failed with an error: Execution of request failed: https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/conta… (Character reference ")

[email protected] is, of course, not my client’s real e-mail address, but one which I used here to protect their privacy.

Am I wrong in assuming that there might be an offending ampersand, which is causing the sync to fail? If so, I would think that would be in a note field, and would be quite commonly used there. Thank you.

Please ask your customer to send us his GData log. It would tell us more. Thank you.

Hello, George,

I do the troubleshooting as part of my sale, and I believe I have that log. How can I get it to you? I really would rather not post it here. Can I PM you? Thank you.

Send it directly to me at [email protected] (attach a reference to this topic)
Thank you.

Hello, George,

I sent the information as requested, but have not received a response. Please advise. Thank you.

Answered, I am sorry for the delay.

For other experiencing a similar problem…here is what I did to resolve.

LOG ERROR SHOWED:
Your client does not have permission to get URL ``` /m8/feeds/groups/<<username_email>>/full

from this server.

MailExceptions.OperationException: Synchronizing folder 'Google Calendar/Contacts/' failed with an error: Execution of request failed: https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/group...

After searching the Internet, found that the issue is caused from using a different username/email address than your Gmail account (ie using [email protected] instead of [email protected]). Gmail allows you to log into the website using different email address. However, the API used in emClient for Calendar/Contacts does not. you need to use the Gmail email address as your username. I changed the username to my google/gmail email address and all is resolved. Hope that helps.

Hi, have you tried by any chance using “Aliases”? eM Client supports them and way how to solve your issue you have described seems like you wanted to use them, but you did not set up your alias email properly.
