Contact syncing behaviour with outlook.com

Just started evaluating eM client and so far looking good. However, I’ve got an issue with contact syncing with outlook.com and I’m not sure whether it’s working as intended or a bug. If I create a contact in outlook.com (web app) it appears in eM client and if I delete it from either it also disappears from the other. So far so good. But… if I create the contact in eM client and delete it online in outlook.com it doesn’t get removed from eM client. Something wrong?

Anyone from eM Client around to offer a comment on this?

sorry for the late reply, I was testing if I could replicate your problem and tried it with more outlook accounts, but the contact deletion worked for me in all forms, including the create in eM/delete in outlook.com one.
If this wasn’t just a single instance of this issue, can you tell me how your outlook account is set up? Is it AirSync or IMAP?
If this keeps happening, you can turn on logging in Tools > Settings > Advanced, turn on the logging for your outlook account and then restart eM Client.
After that, please replicate this issue and go back to Advanced settings and click “Send logs…” but change the recipient to me ([email protected]).

The account is set up for Airsync.

Hi Jon,
there is nothing in the logs indicating the issue and I tried it again myself, and the contact synchronization still works. One time just took a bit longer to do. Have you tried just restarting eM Client when you change the contacts? Maybe it just takes a bit longer to sync.

Left for a few hours and no change and tried restarting with no difference. However, you’ve confirmed that it works for you, which answers my question, so I’ll have a play around and see if I can fix my setup. Perhaps uninstall and reinstall.

If I resolve it I’ll post here and in the meantime thanks again for looking into it.
