Connection Failed again

eM Client displays the red triangle with the message “Connection Failed. An attempt to connect to <> address failed…” How do I determine the incorrect setting? I have reinstalled eM Client and deleted and re-added my gmail account, but that did not resolve the issue.

It may not be a “settings” issue. Many are having connection issues with Gmail connections.

One thing you can try is to temporarily stop your anti-virus software and see if this helps in any way.

A fairly common problem with all 3rd party email clients.

You will need to add trusted 3rd party app to Gmail account, do this:

Sign into the Gmail account using a web browser at:

https://mail.google.com

Then go to:
Settings -> Accounts and Import -> Other Google Account settings ->
Under Security, scroll down and enable access for less secure apps.
This setting is required to enable SMTP, POP or IMAP access.
