What are the correct settings for connecting eM client to Apple’s iChat server? Regardless of how I’ve set it I get "[Jabber] InitializeSecurityContext() failed!!!
The currently release version fails the Kerberos authentication against Apple iChat Server. The next update will fix the problem, it is planned to be released in two weeks or sooner.
Is there any local fix for the Apple Server (10.6) such as modifying iChat or Kerberos to be more forgiving until the real fix is in?
The workaround on the server side is to disallow Kerberos authentication for the iChat server (in Server Admin -> iChat -> Settings -> Authentication -> “Standard”).
Alternatively you can get an eM Client build from http://www.emclient.com/dist/v2.5.640…. However, this version didn’t go through the regular testing cycle and can be broken in different ways.
