Having an issue where whenever I click thru on a hyperlink it will take about 3 minutes for Safari to launch on my Mac. Almost comically long. Is there a pref somewhere I am missing as I do not see one choosing a browser.
Try completely clearing your Safari temp files.
If that makes no difference, then try setting a different browser as default such as Chrome to see if it’s a Safari browser issue.
If another browser does the same thing, then try rebooting your Mac “if you haven’t already” incase it’s some sort of temporary resident program interfering.
If rebooting doesn’t help, then close all your open programs and then try clearing your OS temp files and then reboot and see if that fixes it
If clearing the OS temp files and rebooting doesn’t makes no difference you might possibly then have some sort of eg: hard-disk speed issue or other hardware issue causing the opening delay.
