When I set up emclient, I was asked for a scheme and opted for the first. I now realise that I don’t like the orange much and want to know if I can change to anther scheme without deleting the whole account and starting over?

You can change the Scheme colour in Menu > Tools > Settings > Appearance > Themes. There you can choose from the list of Themes.
