Cant sign in

I am trying to sign in a newly set up account (Microsoft Online outlook) It started the account but refuses to accept my password. It works fine in Thunderbird

Can you check that the IMAP settings are correct. Go to Menu > Tools > Accounts, then click on the IMAP tab. You should have the following:

host: imap-mail.outlook.com
port: 993
Security policy: Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
