Can't connect to iCloud account

Can’t connect to my iCloud account at all. I’ve got eM Client 5.0.18661 and it won’t recognize my iCloud login at all. No mail, no calendar, no contacts, no nuthin’. What am I doing wrong?

Never mind. It got better. Entering the username in lowercase, leaving off the @iCloud.com portion of the ID, plus a restart or two, plus waiting about an hour all seem to have collectively fixed the problem.

Yes, my iCloud connection seems to be working just fine. It took some non-intuitive tweaking, as described above, but it works.
