Hi Lindy,

Please check your account settings for Sending.
Menu > Tools > Accounts
Are you using POP  or IMAP ?
Check  SMPT tab.
Make sure that you have the server address correct and the Port is set to 587 
 or as required by the email provider…

Set Security to  Use SSL/TLS on special port(legacy)
