eM Client 10.1.4588 (f11e2ab).
Cannot send email from an Outlook.com account, the fix I found here:
Cannot send emails for Outlook.com accounts - Authentication aborted - Powered by Kayako Help Desk Software
Hasn’t worked.
Is there a fix please?
What error message are you getting when trying to send ?
If you carn’t see an error, click the dropdown on the right of Refresh and click Show Operations and click the Log tab and look for any obvious error messages and paste them in this thread.
Blank out anything personal.
When I click on “New” to send a new email the editor shows “No account” appears at the top of the edit window and the account is not in the drop down list. All my other email accounts (including a second outlook.com account) are in the list.
When I click on “New” to send a new email the editor shows “No account” appears at the top of the edit window and the account is not in the drop down list.
By default each Outlook.com account uses "AirSync to send mail and “show the account when you compose” and select it in the dropdown. So sounds like its not enabled in that account.
So go to “Menu / Accounts” and click on your Outlook account and click the “General” tab along the top and check AirSync near the bottom is enabled. If it’s not, enable it & save accounts.
Thank you, that worked fine!
Why is this still a problem when there have been complaints about it for years?? I’m not interested in implementing some obscure workaround that may or may not work.
Recently when I try to send an email on my Outlook account, it seems to proceed as normal, and there are no warnings. The problem is that the email not only does not send, but then disappears forever.
This is a total dealbreaker. And no, the “fix” in this thread regarding AirSync was already implemented on the account and the failure described above still happens.

This is not a problem sending mail with Outlook “for most users” with IMAP and Exchange. There can be many reasons why users cannot send mail apart from SMTP mail settings and server related problem. So we would need to know “what the actual error message is from your log” to see why.
So click Refresh and then click the dropdown on the right of Refresh and click “Show Operations”. Then click the Log tab and look for any obvious error messages and paste them in this thread.
Note: Blank out any personal info in the log errors.
Also update “what version of eM Client you are using” as there have been newer versions released recently and could be eg: you might possibly have an older / outdated version.
Lastly have you also “tried removing and readding your Outlook account” using the automatic account wizard via “Menu / Accounts” ?
