The last few times I’ve run eM Client, when I try to open and edit “Rules”, the application freezes and my only way out is to shut it down with Windows Task Manager. This happens even after I restart my PC.
Hi Brandie, what version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer? Can you please make sure the application is up to date and install this latest release, http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.21772/setup.msi and check if the issue persists.
If it does and the application still freezes, can you please run this tool http://www.emclient.com/tools/emstackdump.exe and run the utility while the application isn’t responding? This will generate a Stack Dump file in your documents folder, can you please send us this file to email@example.com with a reference link to this forum topic?
In response to your question, I was running the latest version of eM Client, but I ran the installer you indicated just to be sure. Then I opened up the program again and replicated the error. Like clockwork, I clicked on Tools > Rules and the program froze up. I ran your .exe and emailed the file as instructed.
