Last successful b/u was Dec 25, 23. appears it was successful. since then it advises me that backup directory “C/Users/my name/Documents/eM Client” is not accessible and backup can not start. Advises me to set the “available locations in the settings dialog” That setting “c:\users\myname\documents\eM Client” was set by eM Client when installed, remains unchanged. ???

Things you can try:
Obviously I have no idea the size of or the number and frequency of your Backup configuration.
- Disable Backup, reboot eMC and re-enable Backup & try manual Backup at (Menu/Backup)
- Check there is sufficient disk space for your Backups
- Set Backup to a different folder on your Drive
