I have just installed eM client on a Windows 7 machine. I can receive mail but not send it. I know details are good as I have installed it on, and can send from, a second machine. Tried restarting and switching Windows Defender off.

I’m running McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise and disabled Access Protection. Also added eM Client to Windows Defender’s list of programs allowed through the firewall.
Still no joy.
One anomaly is I have imported a set of “Local Folders” which eM thinks are active for email. On sending email then the message is placed in the outbox under local folders. Not the outbox under my e-mail address.
