Hello Carlos, if the application has prompted you to update your current installation, I don’t believe there’s a reason why you shouldn’t. The new release features an updated authentication with Gmail accounts and many other helpful fixes.
However, update your client to this release which also feature a fix for a minor Gmail chat issue, http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.22298/setup.msi

Yes, it was a system issue (ctrl+alt+del= kill explorer.exe= reinitiate explorer exe with administrative rights). Perfect.
