Can I adjust POP mail server timeout settings?

My AOL email repeatedly fails with this error:

10:11:41 PM [email protected] [POP3] MailExceptions.ConnectionException: Protocol error occurred. Is this really a POP3 server?

Or it has a timeout error and requires my password to be re-entered before it begins downloading messages again.

are you using any Firewall or Anti-virus? If so, try to turn it off for a while and let me know, if it helps.

i have the same problem, my brother is working fine but I got the time out message.
any idea? firewall disabled.

Send us your logs please: go to menu Tools->Settings->Logging and check “POP” under the problematic account. Then restart eM Client, try to simulate the issue and send us (with reference to this topic) the logs using the same logging settings window. Thank you.
