Is there a setting I am missing causing my CalDav to only retrieve Calendar events for the previous 2 months?
I use IONOS.com https://dav.mailbusiness.ionos.com/caldav/ and the emclient on my Android 16 and on my Windows 11 computer sync all the way back with recurring events but do NOT sync past events any earlier than September 1.
I have used the IONOS web app to access the calendar and have confirmed the old events are there.
I have completely deleted the CalDAV account from my Windows PC, restarted emclient and added it back in. Sync is fine - it simply will not retrieve events older than a few months.
Correction - it is only syncing back to Oct 1 (for non-recurring) so 1 month back not 2.
Is your mail synching back further than 1month ? or is that also not synching past 1 month
Thanks for the reply. That is an excellent question!
I just checked and the mail is syncing back way more than 1 month.
It makes me think the CalDav is not calling to sync ALL events (though all recurring events are synced) but I do not see a setting to limit that.
Sounds like possibly something in the server end limiting it affecting a third party client.
I only know in eM Client “for the mail side of things” where if you have an eg: IMAP / Exchange account under the IMAP / Exchange tab (Sync Options) you can limit how much mail to sync but nothing in the client end I’m aware of to limit a calendar period synching. If there is something else in the client for the calendar others on this forum might update this thread.
Have you contacted your IONOS technical support to see if there is anything you need to enable or change in the server end to allow the calendar to sync more months in a third party client ?
Also does the calendar sync back more than a month in any other third party client ?
That was the perfect question to ask.
I just tried another client on my phone and it does NOT sync past 1 month back either so your questions have helped identify IONOS the CalDav server is the limiting factor.
I’m declaring that the solution. Thanks!
