I attempted to add a friend’s birthday to the calendar on her birthdate. After typing it in and saving, the information disappeared from the calendar
Hello Andrea, I’m not completely sure what you’re referring to, what version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact release number in Help > About?
What mail, calendar and contacts services are you using with eM Client? What kind of a birthday calendar are you referring to, eM Client does not automatically synchronize your birthdates of your contacts with the calendar? Is this a Hotmail/Outlook.com account?
Thanks for responding so quickly. The version of eM Client is 6.0.22344.0 and I am using GMail. The calendar I’m manually updating is part of the eM client in the calendar section.
Also, I discovered another error: when attempting update a phone number in the Contacts section, I received an error message where a mobile phone number was incorrectly noted as an email address by the eM system, such that I was unable to update the information.
At this point, I’m beginning to think this version of eM Client still has a few kinks that need to be worked out before I can use it.
FYI, yesterday I decided to subscribe to MS Office 365 personal, so at this point, I really don’t have a need for eM Client.
Hello Andrea, I’m not completely sure what you’re suggesting, can you please make a screenshot of the issue and submit the screenshot to us here on the forum?
If you’re using a local calendar, as I suggested, eM Client doesn’t include any birthday calendar that would be updated based on your contact’s info.
If you’re updating a remote calendar manually by adding birthdays to it and some of the items went missing we might need to get some logging data, however please make sure to submit all errors that you’re seeing and please specify the application’s behavior.
