Environment
- eM Client version: 10.4.5642 (2a058e0)
- OS: macOS 26.5.2 (Tahoe)
- Calendar account type: Reproducible regardless of account type (Exchange, Google, CalDAV, iCloud, local)
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an appointment that has at least one invited participant. Save & Close.
- In calendar view, click and hold the appointment with the mouse.
- Drag it out of eM Client onto the desktop.
- Release/drop it on the desktop (this exports the appointment as an .ics file).
Expected Behavior
Dragging an appointment to the desktop should simply export it as a standalone .ics file, with no interaction with invitees — this is a local file export, not a calendar action.
Actual Behavior
eM Client displays a dialog titled “Scheduled item was updated”, offering the choice between “Send update” and “Don’t send update” — even though no actual change was made to the appointment; only a file export was performed.
Frequency
Every time.
Workaround
Choosing “Don’t send update” dismisses the dialog and the .ics file still exports correctly to the desktop. The prompt appears to be purely cosmetic/erroneous — it doesn’t block the export, but it’s misleading and could cause a user to accidentally send an unwanted update to invitees.
