Very recently, ‘Windows Subsystem for Android’ had an update, and this has caused all internal links within an email to open the Subsystem, vs. opening a normal link in your browser (e.g., Amazon, Walmart., etc.)
To temporarily fix this issue on people running windows 11,10, go into your APPS settings, click on ‘Apps for websites’, find the ‘Windows Subsystem for Android’ and turn the feature OFF (whereas, it was set to ON after the update). You must close EMC and reopen to take effect.
If you run Audible e.g., or the Amazon Store App, etc., the WSSA is required in order to open these apps among many others. I noticed this almost immediately after the update, and everytime a link was clicked within any email (in my case, an Amazon order), the WSSA would open dozens of times before I tracked it down.
Hopefully, this will help someone.
