In Beta 10.2 I can group accounts. So I have one work account under “Work” and a few personal email accounts under an account group “Personal”.
However, I had the focus on Work account group, sent an email and IT SENT FROM MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT!!! So now replies to that work email conversation are going to my personal emails account.
However it can be done in eM client, and coming from PostBox, being able to send from correct email addresses is a must.
I don’t know how focusing on a different account group would send it from the wrong email address ?.
The sending email address is always manually “selected by the user” in the dropdown on the right at the top of the compose window. Thats totally separate from the accounts groups.

How did Postbox avoid you sending from the wrong email address ?
Before account groups, in Em Client I would use Show in New Window, so work account in one window, personal account in another window. If I’m in the window with the focus on the work email and I click New, then a new message starts and the sending email address is my work one. Similar if I’m in the window with the focus on my personal email account, if I start a new message, the sender email is my personal email. I don’t have to use the drop-down to select the sender’s email.
With Account Groups, I had the focus on the account group name and if I had the focus on the account group with my business account and started a new email, the sender was my personal address… What I need to do is to put the focus on the work account so the return address is my work email.
In PostBox, it had domain fencing for email addressing, described here https://support.postbox-inc.com/hc/en-us/articles/204344204-Domain-Fencing I had a list of domains which were domains related to work and where I need to use my business account. If I accidentally was sending from my personal account I’d get a warning.
Ok I’ve never heard or seen Domain Fencing to avoid sending from the wrong email address. Might have been a custom written Postbox idea.
I see there is a Sleekplan suggestion for that.
We’ve just changed the behavior and when account groups are used we preselect an email address from that account group when composing a new email. I believe that is the thing you are asking for, right?
