I tried to back up all data from eM Client from one of my computers with the aim to transfer it to another computer. I tried to use an external hard drive as a store. The procedure followed was : Menu>Tools>Settings>Backup>Enable backup>G:\eM Client backup. When I hit Apply the message came : eM Cliemt backup task failed due to the following reason:(24,8):Userld:. I need some help.

Could you please post a screenshot of the error that you get? In general, we don’t recommend using network drives with eM Client, although they should work. If the problem persists, please make a backup to an internal hard drive and move it to the external hard drive after it’s finished.
Can we also ask what version do you use?
