What is the best method to back up and save all the pertinent data like contact info, saved emails, etc in eM client so that in the event of a major crash most if not all info is saved.
The best way is simply copy your data directory to other location. We store all the data there. Data directory can be found in c:/documents and settings//appdata/em client
Thanks. I’m new to eM but immediately moved the eM Client database folder to another partition, and plan to back it up occasionally. That way if my opsys crashes, I simply restore an image (Acronis True Image) and lose nothing, since the data is in another image. This just simulates what I did with tbird for years.
