AVG cannot scan outgoing mail

My outgoing mail cannot be scanned by AVG. Is there some way to get around this? AVG’s message states that it cannot scan the messages because the connection is encrypted. I am using eM client Free version 3.5.13654.0

If you are connecting to your mail server using SSL/TLS, the communication would be encrypted. Such case, no anti-virus cannot scan mail on arrival. This is the whole idea of encrypted communication. Your mail however will be scanned locally after delivery of e-mail.

If you want to scan on retrieval, you’ll have to ask your mail provider for settings to connect without using SSL/TLS. This is not something only applies to AVG or eM Client, it the mail protocol.
