Cannot add an avatar to an account so that appears in mail sent. For example, while the mouse-ears icon is selected for an account, it does not show in emails sent for that account, nor does it show as a selectable avatar. Instead, the mouse-ear account always shows the fire avatar in sent emails. What is wrong? Thanks for a reply.
The account avatar is used to show which folder the message is in, when looking at unified folders like the Favorites Unread folder. It shows on the right below the time.
It doesn’t have anything to do with the email address for the sent message. Instead, eM Client sources contact avatars from the Internet. If you use Gravatar to add an avatar for the email address you are sending from, then that avatar will show on the left next to your email address in sent messages. Recipients who have this function in their email applications will also be able to see that avatar when they receive your messages.
Thanks. Is this (how avatars work versus how avatars show in emails) documented in your help documentation?
Not incidentally, in Gravatar you have to create a separate account for each domain you have. Gravatar is basically a way to make your personal information publicly known. Further, in the small print, Gravatar creates a WordPress account for every email you use. It’s a bad system.
