A function that “asks” immediately after sending a mail where this mail should be filed would be extremely helpful for me.

Part of the problem with that is that most servers create the sent message themselves, not eM Client. So when you click on Send, the message is upload to the server, and then deleted from the Outbox. After a second it will appear in the Sent folder because the server creates it there.
If eM Client is creating the sent message, then you can create Rules to move messages to specified folders after sending, but if it is created by the server you will end up with two; one in Sent and one in the specified folder.
