automatic archiving

An occasional email gets archived to ‘All Mail’ so I miss it! How to resolve?

This is not archiving. In Gmail, every message is in All Mail. It is one of only three folders that actually exist (All Mail, Trash and Spam).  The other folders you see like Inbox and Sent are in fact virtual folders that correspond to the labels assigned to the messages in the All Mail folder.

For some reason, eM Client occasionally removes or misinterprets the label on the message, and so it is no longer displayed in it’s virtual folder, but it will always be in All Mail unless you delete it.

You can right-click on the All Mail folder and choose Properties > Repair and see if that corrects it.

Another thing you can try is to remove the email account from eM Client, then add it again.

What version of Windows and eM Client are you using?

Windows 10 and eM 7.1.33101.0

Can you upgrade to the latest version available at http://www.emclient.com/release-history and see if there is any difference.
