Hi,
it seems that my small mail provider is excluded from the auto-reply function. Can’t understand that!
Then, it’s not possible to create a Rule for Auto Reply either. Why? It should not be hard to make a rule: any incoming email: answer with a standard email. Or?
Anyway. I want an auto reply funcionality for me. I also take holidays or close the office some days…

Hey @ErikJ
Auto reply is a server side function. As far as I am aware as far as
eMC is concerned this can be setup with Gmail accounts unless you
have your own dedicated mail server.

Thanks! And this is what I do not understand. Software can’t emulate a client-side handwriten answer?
Yes as @skybat advised the automatic reply / out of office option “is only available if your server supports that”. There may be other servers in the future that are supported.
Quote extract below from the following eM Client blog page on automatic replies.
“Automatic replies and Out-of-office in eM Client”
eM Client provides automatic replies for Exchange, Google and IceWarp accounts because the feature needs to be supported on the mail server to work as designed. So eM Client can replace any current exchange autoresponder software you might have used for your out of office messages.
If you do not have either of these accounts set up in eM Client, you will not see the option “Automatic Replies” under the “Tools” menu.
All of that I know already.
That’s why I post in the FEATURE REQUEST, my friends!
Well if you want to use an Auto Reply feature in your client, you’d have to have your computer running with the eM Client program open during your holidays.
That’s a clever contribution! Thanks!
Makes me think that the “app” is always running on the phone. ![]()
Yes, phones are usually always on. Mine is ![]()
