Application Error

I’ve started up my computer and opened up eM client, and an error message is coming up saying: 'Database check tool has encountered an error and will exit. It then goes on to say ‘to resolve the issue please contact eM client support.’ Please help as I need this email for work

sounds like your database is corrupted.
I suggest deleting the current database and restoring from a previously made back up (if you have some).
Your database is located in C:\Users\your windows user account\AppData\Roaming\eM Client.

If you did not make any backups, you will have to set up your accounts manually.
If you had any emails stored locally and not synchronized to the server, you can not get them back.
