Hello,
I run and maintain my own email server. I use server-side rules for sorting emails into folders for multiple entities. The desktop version of eM Client handles this setup perfectly with IMAP. However, the Android version doesn’t show emails or send notifications when unread mail is downloaded into subfolders. So on my phone, I have no idea if business-1 is getting new emails since all emails for that business are routed to that business folder on the server.
Furthermore, the Global Inbox doesn’t show any new emails within folders. When a folder is nested within the inbox (INBOX/Folder1), those nested folders should be shown in the Global Inbox as well, and notifications for these folders should work too.
I could use client-side rules to sort emails into folders, but the mobile version of eM Client doesn’t support this either. This means I’m forced to manually check each folder on my phone to see if there’s new mail, which really defeats the purpose of having email on mobile.
Is there any way to get notifications working for nested folders, or add support for client-side rules on Android? The desktop experience is great, so I’m hoping the mobile version can catch up.
Thanks for your help.
