An email server was recognized, but your access data was rejected

we do have a lot of problems getting eM-Client up and running error-free. One of these problems is the integration of a special account where the integration is permanently rejected due to the access data (see screenshot). We have clarified the following:

  • The server is running smoothly, all certificates are up to date and the account is available.
  • Access to the account works without any problems with another client (Thunderbird), The Initial data are exactly the same including password (incoming mail server (IMAP): mail.greenaudits.de, port: 993 | outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.greenaudits.de, port: 25

Please give us any idea ti fix then problems and get the Client running smoothly.

Could be your SMTP Server Non Secure port 25 “now needs to be using a secure port” with either Port 465 or 587 depending on what your mail server currently supports or requires now.

So go to your Accounts SMTP tab and try using either of the following. Then save accounts and close and reopen eM Client to test.

Also check you have the correct SMTP username and password as your IMAP tab.

Secure SMTP port settings examples.

Host - mail.greenaudits.de
Port - 465
Security policy - Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)
or
