Almost all emails missing from an important saved transactions folder

I have had no problems at all until I logged on tonight to find almost all of my most important emails saved in a “purchases” folder have suddenly disappeared. Every other folder appears to be intact - except the MOST IMPORTANT FOLDER CONTAINING MY IMPORTANT SAVED EMAILS. WTF is going on? I tried to repair - no result. Only 13 emails now exist in this folder. Just cannot understand what would cause this? Please help me because this is causing me massive problems. I’ve looked through similar posts but nothing suggested has helped. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried “Restore” - click on the eM Client icon top left hand corner next to the “Menu” icon. This will restore from the backups automatically saved by eM Client. You will see where your backups are saved by clicking on Menu > Tools > Settimngs > & then scroll down to backup under General. The regularity of your backups will have been set when you installed eM Client.

Can you see the messages on your web mail client?

No. The server deletes these once they are downloaded to the EMclient.

I’ve tried the restore function, but receive the following error:
