Iād also love to see this feature. It is very time consuming to have to change the columns for each folder individually and a pain in the rear.
I think if you adjust the columns for a folder the way you like, right-click anywhere in column headers, you can apply them choose from the context menu presented to apply to other folders of the same type:
I realize this is not the same as setting a global folder column preference, but it is how I got all of my folders having the same look-n-feel with the least amount of angst.
I would love to have the option to configure the default column settings which gets applied whenever I create a new folder. Please!
