I have rules setup to automatically move emails to the appropriate folder, but sometimes an email goes to my inbox and I have to manually move it. Using the Unread smart folder there is no way to know if the message is already in the correct folder or not. It would be very useful if I could display a Folder (or Folders) column to display this information.
You can, but just not with the compact layout. Go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Mail > Read > Message List, and change the settings to force single-line layout. In that layout you can display any columns you wish.
I don’t see an option for the folder column:
Disable conversations in all views in Menu > View > Conversations.
When viewing as a conversation it is not possible to show the folder because the conversation may span many folders.
