Activating links in mail messages

Messages containing links, cannot be viewed in a browser.
Links aren’t active and I get an error
“This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action…”

Any ideas ?

What browser do you use? In the first place check if it is set as a default browser and then inform me of the result.Thank you.

I had a recent update on Waterfox which must have reset the default browser to none.
Setting a default browser again fixed the problem.
