Well… before buying i have some Questions hopefully can be answered
Is it possible to have a “Global Folder” with “Sub Folders” like Thunderbird is using it? Right now there is just this “Smart Folder” with “All Inboxes/Unread/Flagged”? i would like to add more specific subfolders to it.
It ́s somewhere described to get a Popup and Sound when receiving new Mails. I don ́t get them (Did an import from Thunderbird)?!? All activated in Settings
Is it possible to have Icons for “Calendar/Tasks/Contacts/Agenda and Chat” instead of the Words written (takes to much Space in my opinion)?
From Thunderbird the “Local Folder” with all it ́s Sub Folders was imported too. Will this work a similiar way in em Client or is it just imported and needs to be sorted into the em client Mail system?
The Junk Folder(s) has a Counter too. How can it be diabled?
Yes, global folders, called Local Folders in eM Client, are possible with POP3 accounts. The very last screen of the setup gives the option to store messages in Local Folders rather than an individual tree for each account.
Custom Smart Folders called Search Folders can also be used but they are really only a search result, so you cannot drag messages to them like you can with other folders. But they are very useful, and any search you can do, you can save as a Search Folder. Just like in Thunderbird.
The notification settings are in Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Notifications. Look down the end of that page for pop-ups etc.
The question about icons, not possible.
You can leave your messages in Local Folders if you wish. These folders store messages only on your computer, so they are not synced with your email server like IMAP or Exchange folders.
You can’t disable the counter on the Junk folder. It is apparently there by design so you are aware when new messages have been moved to it.
Can the “Local Folder” setup also be done after the Email Account is created?
Notification Setting is activated in “Default Settings” not for every single Mail Account. Still no notification at all. Will i have to setup the notifications system to every single Mail Account?
No, the Local Folders option can only be selected during the account setup and only for POP3 accounts.
No, the default setting for notifications applies to all mail accounts. You can set it up individually if you want different settings for each account.
