365 Emails syncing directly to the trash

Hello, my company is a Managed Service Provider and we were in the process of migrating users to the EM client. The major issue we are running into is that inboxes in owa are syncing directly to the trash folder, and after the sync happens owa also mirrors EM client and moves everything to the trash folder as well (i’m assuming this is due to the sync after EM client decides to move everything to the trash, OWA does as well since it’s synced). We have already checked all the 365 settings and nothing is telling mail to go directly to the trash. Any ideas on what is going on?
