sometimes after updating to 3.6 i noticed that all mails under nested disappeared! The mails in the root remain. Example: The “Travel” folder contains mails, however the folder “Travel/Italy2010” is empty.
Either the labels were removed or the mails were purged.
Trying to locate them through “all mail” is not practical. Any idea?
Hi, updating to 3.6? That is very old version. Could you updated to latest version downloadable from website and then tell if you still experience your issue.
Jan
sorry, a “writer mistake”. the version is 6.0.19861.0
And off course i still expirience the problem…messages aren’t being relabaled by itself.
Can you tell me if you see those email on the server? Also what email provider and protocol do you use?
Have you tried using “repair” on your “Inbox” folder?
Jan
it is used solely with Gmail, using IMAP.
Few hours after upgrading to 6.X i used GMAIL web client to re-check information in one label/folder and was suprised to find it empty. I checked several others they were all the same.
I have nested structure, and found out that mails under the “root” of each branch remain, while the labels/folders underneath are empty.
All mails remain under “all mail”.
What do you mean by Repair your inbox?
by repairing I have meant right click on folder - properties - repair and repair button.
Jan
Nope. Perfomed it now. Didn’r helped.
p.s. You may want to make this action more visable…
Hi, I will need your IMAP logs, go to tools - settings - advanced, check IMAP under your account, apply and restart eM Client.
Simulate steps that leads to your issue and after that use “send logs…” to [email protected] together with this topic’s URL in subject.
Then you can turn logging off.
