24-hour format time

My system clock settings are set to show time in 24-hour format, but my eM Client shows time in 12-hour format.

Is there any way to fix this?

Unfortunately, it is not so easy as it may seem to be.

What if you just created a 24-hour clock format preference, instead of trying to make eM Client sync with the system settings?

I (still) use Windows XP, with 24-hour region settings. All other programs use this correctly, EMClient 5 displays the calendar ‘left vertical ruler’ correctly from 00:00 till 23:00, however, each entry is somehow in AM/PM format??
Is there any other setting (registry?) that I/we can tweak untill this is fixed?

can you please tell us what exactly do you have set up in regional settings? Please attach here screenshot of “formats” tab where your settings are visible.

Nevertheless in 6th version there will be option to setup 12/24 day format regardless on system setup.

Hmm, I see no formats tab in my regional settings, I take it you mean Windows XP | Control Panel? In EMClient I see no tabs.
I will paste my XP Regional and Language Options:

thank you for your reply, unfortunately as we have no win XP to find out name of tab that we exactly need - can you please click on Customize and make screenshot of it?

we need to see settings where you can format time and date like dd//mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy also time format 12/24 and it should be under that.

I am once more sorry for this but we need it to see that if we can provide help.

I am running version 6.0.19714.0 now on Windows 7 with 24h systems settings, but em Client still uses am/pm format, and I cannot find any settings to change this. Please advice!

Indeed eM Client does not seem to honor the date/time settings of a computer…that’s not so good…

John, eM Client is using the .NET framework, right?

Is eM Client developed in C#?

Take a look at the DateTime.ToString() method with an IFormatProvider parameter.

Also have a look at CultureInfo.

Not necessary, eM Client takes info from Windows’s settings.

Hi, please post here screenshot of your region settings. eM Client takes it’s format from this so this is most likely wrong set it Windows.

John, you write that eM Client takes info for formatting dates and times from the Windows settings…I think that’s not true: eM Client is the only program on my system that shows the time with ‘AM’ and ‘PM’, while other programs show the time based on a 24 hour clock.
