2 step verification

Using this application with gmail is a long hard issue for me. I have read a lot on how to fix this, but I am failing. Can I get some help[, I have 2 step verification on.

See here:

https://forum.emclient.com/emclient/topics/em_client_and_google_2_step_verification

I still get this. I am using a generated password form gmail.

Hi Adam, as vincent suggested you should be able to avoid this by using the two-step verification authentication method, however if you don’t want to use this option, please try to access this setting while logged in into your gmail account: https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps and make sure you have it set to enable.

Without this setting enabled, you might not be able to use your gmail account with none of the current email clients as this option disables the ability to use the standard password authentication and only allows connections through OAuth authentication method.

Hope this helps,
Paul.

This is what I get from gmail

Sorry, my mistake, this setting is only available when you’re not using the two step verification.
Are you using any firewall/proxy software on your computer? Are you using the “app specific” password generated on google? Are you using this password on all your devices or in eM client only?

What version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you check for the exact version number in Help > About?

Thank you,
Paul.

I am currently using v6.0.21040.0

Hi again, can you please answer the rest of my questions? Also please try to update your application to this release, http://www.emclient.com/dist/v6.0.21151/setup.msi and check if the issue persists.

Regards,
Paul.

Ok, I updated to your link, sorry about before. I am not using a firewall or proxy. I just have em client of my main PC. I am using windows 7 ultimate. I use a pass made by google. https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en is how I set it up.I hope this is more helpful, if you need more feel free to ask!
