Windows 10 platform, ONE of my GMAIL addresses is unbelievably slow, also times out when moving mail to local folder

Windows 10 platform, want to upgrade from Trial EM Client but ONE of my GMAIL addresses is unbelievably slow, takes literally hours to show the mail content, even through the header appears as normal.
Also, it takes hours (or times out) when I try to move a message to a local folder.
I’ve tried repairing, deleting and re-adding to no avail.
It doesn’t seem any different to my other gmail addresses, but it is my main one, so I need to get this fixed.

I am not a GMail user, but you should be able to check that both accounts have the same settings using the web interface for Google.

You can also check that both are setup the same in eM Client. Go to Menu > Tools > Accounts and check they have the same port and same security policy.

I still have not received the email text of your reply after a day into eM Client, so I will answer here.
You’d think the settings were different, but they are identical.
The email accounts see identical, but it is worth noting that when clicking on quota, the other accounts show 15Gb, whereas this account just hangs when I click on quota.

Maybe contact Google Support and see if there is anything they can do.

Still have not received your rely on em client, although iphone mail got it immediately. Also Windows live mail never had a problem with this email address.

Basically I can’t use em client

What did Goggle Support say?

Mail messages can be read in iPhone mail or Windows live mail application so not
a Google problem.
I created another GMAIL account as a workaround which worked for 3 days then started failing like the problem email.
EM client hangs when I try to look at quota for the problem addresses, says 15Gig on
the ones that work correctly.
Can somebody help me please ??
I cant purchase it like this

What did Google Support say?

As I said, it’s not a google problem. Messages come back randomly sometimes days late, just on EM Client. How can I get diagnostic info ?

I have seen something similar to this and contacting the provider solved the issue.  But of course it is your choice and you can continue with only one account working, which indicates it is not an issue with eM Client as it can connect to Google, or you can contact Google. There is a possibility the problem might be with them, but you will never know.

If you open your account settings and go to the Diagnostics tab for the failing account, you can enable diagnostics for your IMAP protocol. You can then view the detailed logs in your database folder. You may have to restart eM Client once before the logging will be there. They might not mean much to you though. For a basic outline of any errors, go to Menu > Tools > Operations, and check the Log tab.

(Sigh)
Google "is everything ok on the Google web page
Yes
Google So it’s not a Google problem, do any other clients wok ?
Yes, only EM Client fails ?
Google Why aren’t EM Client looking at this ?
They are trying to imply that it’s a Google problem
Yes, I know  …

The Google web interface and the IMAP/POP3/SMTP protocols are two very different things. It is entirely possible to be able to access the web interface and not be able to connect at all by one of the messaging protocols. But, as I said, your choice . . .

If all else fails, make a backup of eM Client, delete the user database at C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\eM Client, and then start again with a new database and see if there is any difference.

If you have a Pro License, please open a support ticket with eM Client. That is the only way you will get them to look into your problem.

You clearly missed the text which said all other clients had no problem
with downloading messages from the site.

And you clearly forgot that you initially said one of your GMail accounts was working fine in eM Client.

Ah yes, if anything works at all  it means that there’s not a problem with EM Client

My final suggestion to you, Peter, is to install one of those clients that does work.

You should be in sales. You don’t want our product, you want one that works.
OK
As it happens, EM client seems to have started working correctly.
Thanks for your help
