Since the last update, emclient crashes every 2 hours or so? It was pretty stable before now??I have version 7.1.33101.0
A crash can corrupt the database, so that is not so good. So that you can use the application again without crashing, you can uninstall eM Client, then download and install the previous version from http://www.emclient.com/release-history This will not affect your data or settings.
Maybe someone else can comment, but I am not experiencing any crashes. In fact I don’t remember ever having eM Client crash in any of the 7.x versions.
I tried uninstalling and then installing an earlier version (7.1.32792). It is still crashing consistently every 20 mins or so now! Any idea which version I should try or even better why it might be crashing?
Seems like it is the database. You can start eM Client with a blank database and see if there is any difference.
First make a backup using Menu > File > Backup. Then close eM Client and rename C:\Users_[username]_\AppData\Roaming\eM Client\ to something else. You may have to show hidden items in Explorer to do that.
When you restart eM Client a new blank database will be created. You can then setup your account.
If you want to go back to your old database, use Menu > File > Restore. If you were not able to make a backup, you can close eM Client and delete the newly created C:\Users_[username]_\AppData\Roaming\eM Client\ and then rename the folder that you previously renamed back to \eM Client.
