I mistakenly deleted a month’s worth of calendar appointments (damn duplicates!)–how can I get those back?

Just restore from your most recent backup using this procedure:

  1. Make a backup of your current database using Menu > File > Backup.

  2. Disconnect from the Internet. 

  3. Restore the most recent backup that has those events using Menu > File > Restore.

  4. Export the calendar that has those events using Menu > File > Export > Export events to ics.

  5. Restore from the backup you made in 1 using Menu > File > Restore.

  6. Reconnect to the Internet.

  7. Import the events you exported in 3 into a new calendar folder using Menu > File > Import > iCalendar.

  8. Move the missing events from the imported calendar to the original then delete the imported calendar

Thanks for the replay, Gary. I don’t know that a backup file was overtly created–is that a default setting? Also, deleted emails got to the Deleted folder–do calendar appointments just evaporate instead? They don’t go anywhere?

Yes, deleted events just evaporate, so unless you have backups it is unlikely you can get them back. 

Might be an idea, going forward, to use the automatic backup feature in eM Client which you will find in Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Backup. You simply set the frequency  and number of backups to keep, and then forget about it.
