threaded subjects / tree view can't be sorted

Just started using eM 3.5, switching from Thunderbird. I only have a couple of problems/complaints, but this is a big one:

Threaded subjects should not be a sort option, but a view option. That is, I would like emails to be organized by tree, but *then* I would like to sort the trees by date, sender, etc, according to the last item in the tree. This is standard in both Outlook and Thunderbird, and causes subject trees with new emails to appear at the top (or bottom) when sorted by date. As is, I find myself flipping back and forth between sorting on subject and sorting on received date in order to find which subject trees have new emails. Very frustrating.

Is there a fix, or is there the possibility of one?

Much more minor note, but the subject threading takes up too much space, be much cleaner if the threaded messages just stacked with a plus sign out front.

Yes, please please please bring us this feature.

Hello,

threaded view is planned most likely to 7th version, but I can’t say right now when it will be done.

OUCH! I had thought it would be ready for the 6th! I guess we’ll just have to survive!

I understand you, but this is how it is. We don’t want to release uncomplete feature just to have it released.

Of course! Fair enough, it is enough to know it is on the radar!

Hello,

I am happy for your understanding

Guys… You can’t provide this feature several years!!! If you can’t build it itself, why don’t you just find a good programmer that can implement this feature for you?

Hello,

I understand your concerns but please be aware of that we are working on it, only not so fast.

As observed by so many others, this is a feature that has been promised for a number of years. Definitely in v. 4, then in v.5, then in v.6 and now most likely v.7!!??

When I purchased the product a long time ago, it was based on the product reps promise that threaded conversation was about to be released in the next version. Still waiting, but not intending to do so any longer.

Who do I contact to get a refund?

Hello,

please contact [email protected]

You know what - I am going to stick it out. I like this product. I purchased the Lifetime license. Support has been good to me. I will stick it out.

Sporty decision and good of you to continue to support the product and I agree that support is both good and responsive. Backing up their promises however…

I hope for your sake that you won’t be spending the rest of your Lifetime license waiting for this feature. All the best

Fair enough - don’t get me wrong, I do understand your frustration! I am just financially in a position to not need the money. I think I will be much more vocal if v7 rolls around with no threading. Rest assured I will be vocal here - and on other ranking sites as well. For now I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt - I believe they are architecture the entire product from bits and pieces of responses I have seen - so I am willing to wait it out a bit. I bought another email program with Lifetime updates as well - their product is not perfect either - so its a race really for me - I will use either one that gives me multiple accounts with threading. For now this product is my client.

This feature is still in “under consideration” instead of “Planned” ???

This is only lacking found in em client. the threaded view is very helpfull to track the mail for a large communications.

For 59 $ this feature shoud be standard!
